Description:
Pete Torrez is an assistant professor of Non-Credit ESL in the Department of Global Languages and Society and the Unity Pride Center Coordinator at Los Angeles Mission College. He is a huge proponent of AI tools in the classroom. AI has swept society quickly, and many educators fear it, especially when it comes to students using it incorrectly in the classroom. Our guest believes we must integrate AI as part of the classroom experience so students and teachers can utilize it as a tool for learning. Join us this session to learn about some of the AI tools that Torrez advocates for in his classes to enhance students’ language learning and minimize the fear surrounding this technology.
