Adapting equity-oriented readings for the online ESL classroom

Event Description
ESL learners are eager to learn about the United States. How can we find and use books, stories and poems written about the American experience, history, social justice that are a good match for Beginning - Advanced ESL classes? Join us to learn how to a.) find texts that are adapted for early readers; b) develop reading comprehension questions for interactive online activities; and c.) develop culturally competent and inclusive multimedia materials that inspire discussion for critical thinking as well as hope and understanding.
