Suprasegmental Lesson Planning: A Hands-On Workshop

In this workshop, participants will design suprasegmental-related learning objectives for their courses and acquire tips for executing instruction and providing feedback. Be prepared with paper, pencil, and a suprasegmental-related activity from a past or present course. We will think through
a) selecting suprasegmental targets,
b) identifying where students are in the learning/skill development process, and
c) writing suprasegmental-related learning objectives for your target activity.
After the workshop, participants will be able to create and/or refine suprasegmental-related learning objectives using a research-informed approach tailored to their own teaching contexts.
