Description: ESL learners are eager to learn about the United States. How can we find and use books, stories and poems written about the American experience, history, social justice that are a good match for Beginning - Advanced ESL classes? Join us to learn how to a.) find texts that are adapted for early readers; b) develop reading comprehension questions for interactive online activities; and c.) develop culturally competent and inclusive multimedia materials that inspire discussion for critical thinking as well as hope and understanding.
